On Friday, March 7, a state panel convened to consider replacing the rating agency that handles workers’ compensation rate filings in Delaware.
The Delaware Workers’ Compensation Task Force may suggest that the National Council on Compensation Insurance handle future workers’ comp rate filings. This came after the state’s current rating agency, the Delaware Compensation Rating Bureau, filed another proposal for dramatic increases in the cost of workers’ compensation insurance.
The panel plans to have a series of meeting this April before coming up with a result.
